SANAA, Dec. 21 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council in Sanaa held an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, chaired by President Mahdi Al-Mashat, focusing on recent developments, notably the Yemeni Armed Forces’ actions against Israeli vessels in the Red Sea.
The Council reiterated that Yemen’s activities in the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandeb in solidarity with Palestinians align with international norms and laws.
It lauded the Yemeni Armed Forces across all branches, alongside the unwavering stance and mobilization of the Yemeni people.
Emphasizing the safety of shipping routes except for those linked to Israel or heading to occupied Palestine ports, the Council condemned the US establishment of a multinational force, citing it as an aggressive move favoring Israel under the guise of trade protection.
Deeming the American initiative a militarization of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden jeopardizing international navigation, the Council squarely held the United States accountable for any repercussions.
