WORLD, Dec. 14 (YPA) – Activists from a Jewish group demanding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip blocked traffic on a busy highway in the US city of Los Angeles during rush hour on Wednesday morning.
Protesters from the “If Not Now organization” sat on the southbound lanes of downtown Interstate 110 at about 9 a.m., bringing traffic to a halt, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The demonstrators wore black T-shirts reading “Not in our name” and held banners demanding that the occupation stop military operations in Gaza.
Videos circulated on “X” platform showed protesters sitting in the middle of the road, with a huge number of cars behind them.
A video on KCAL TV showed a few angry motorists fighting with protesters before police arrived.
