SANAA, Dec. 01 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology on Friday expected a significant decrease in minimum temperatures over the next 24 hours, as a result of the Siberian High.
The center said it expected cold to very cold weather in the governorates of Bayda, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran, and Saada, with the possibility of light frost forming within the dawn hours.
The weather may be cold in the governorates of Ibb and Dhalea, and relatively cold in the Hadramout plateau and the highlands of the governorates of Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj, awf and western Marib.
According to the center, active to strong winds ranging in speed between 10-26 knots with gusts of up to 32 knots on the Socotra archipelago, the western and eastern coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden.
The center called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients, and workers during the night and early morning hours, to take the necessary precautions to prevent themselves from cold weather. It urged farmers to take precautions against cold weather to protect their agricultural crops.
