GAZA, Nov. 16 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army announced on Thursday that it had destroyed the house of the head of Hamas’ political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh in Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, after storming it and allegedly confiscating weapons and intelligence documents from it.
The Israeli army spokesman said that “the warplanes bombed Haniyeh’s house last night, “which was used, among other things, as a meeting site for senior Hamas officials.”
“During the takeover of the beach camp, operatives of the Nahal brigade’s special unit found a weapons depot belonging to the Hamas naval force and destroyed it. Diving devices, improvised explosive devices and weapons were found in the warehouse.”
Haniyeh has been outside the Gaza Strip for years.
