Jordan: The House of Representatives unanimously agrees to review agreements singed with Zionist entity

WORLD, Nov. 13 (YPA) -The Jordanian House of Representatives “unanimously” agreed on Monday to review the agreements signed with the Zionist entity and submit necessary recommendations on them in order to present them to the government, at the invitation of the Speaker of the Council, Ahmed Safadi.

Safadi called on the House of Representatives’ legal committee to develop a framework for filing a complaint through official channels before the International Criminal Court to investigate and hold accountable the war crimes and genocide committed in Gaza, and to circulate this step to Arab and Islamic parliaments, according to the state-run AlMamlaka TV.

Safadi said that the parliament would continue its work through a weekly regularity in holding sessions, affirming that Gaza takes precedence over other files, because “the continuation of work and the stability of state institutions and the continuation of their work is a strength for us and therefore a strength for Palestine and its steadfast people.”

He added: “We in the parliament, in coordination with the government and our armed forces, work to increase the number of field hospitals in Gaza and the West Bank.”

Safadi called on the “Palestine Committee” to remain in permanent session, to put the parliament on a first-hand what can be made to support the people in Gaza and the West Bank, and coordinate with the Health Committee and the government to provide everything necessary to treat the wounded and injured in the Jordanian health sector.

He explained that what is happening in Gaza “should not distract attention from the plans being hatched in the West Bank and Jerusalem, where worshipers are harassed, settlers continue to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque, arrest campaigns continue and settlements expand”.

Safadi  continued: “What is happening is nothing but a comprehensive aggression, entitled war crimes in the Gaza Strip, and the swallowing of land in the West Bank and the desecration of sanctities, which requires a firm stand against it, with the steadfast Almoravids of our people throughout occupied Palestine.”

Safadi said that the efforts of Jordan’s King Abdullah II “contributed to changing international public opinion, after he was driven by Israel’s false narrative, just as the steps in support of the Palestinian people continued in the follow-up of Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah to the efforts of the field hospital personnel and the delivery of aid to the people in Gaza, as well as the speech of the Queen, Rania Al-Abdullah, had an impact on the convictions of Western public opinion.”
