ADEN, Nov. 09 (YPA) – Dozens of motorcycle drivers demonstrated on Thursday in protest against the ban on motorcycles, which are the only source of income for their families in the city of Aden, controlled by factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in southern Yemen.
Motorcyclists explained that the ban decision issued by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions and approved by the local authorities did not take into account their economic conditions, which affected all citizens searching for a source of income that would provide their families with a decent living.
For weeks, the STC factions have been campaigning to confiscate motorcycles in an unfair decision that does not consider the suffering of a wide segment of low-income people in Aden.
