Saghir Bin Aziz survives assassnation attemept in Marib

MARIB, Nov. 07 (YPA) – Saghir bin Aziz, the Chief of Staff in the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition survived on Wednesday to an assassination attempt in the city of Marib, which is under the control of the Islah Party.

According to informed local sources, bin Aziz was subjected to an assassination attempt by a car bomb attack while he was passing through a highway in Marib city.

The sources confirmed that three of his companions were seriously injured, amid accusations of Islah elements of being behind the assassination attempt.

Moreover, the sources said that bin Aziz was subjected to an assassination attempt on the highway outside the city of Marib, and he was transferred to the hospital amid tight guards, without revealing his health condition and the degree of injury.

Islah activists described the assassination attempt on Ben Aziz as a blatant play carried out by Ammar Saleh’s cells to achieve military and political gains in Marib at the expense of the party.

This comes after bin Aziz was accused of being associated with military leaders in the Zionist entity and held a series of meetings with a number of US military commanders in conjunction with the war on Gaza in early October.
