Violent explosion leaves dead, injured in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Oct. 29 (YPA) – A violent explosion on Sunday left people dead and injured in the center of Al-Shehr city of Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

Local sources said that a number of gas cylinders exploded at one of the ice production factories in al-Shehr area, leaving one dead and other workers injured.

The sources explained that the explosion was followed by a huge fire in the building that left significant material damage, pointing out that the causes of the explosion were negligence and failure to follow security and safety measures by the owners of commercial establishments.
