Meteorology issues warnings to citizens in these areas

SANAA, Oct. 27 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected rain of varying intensity to hit a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.

 The center said in its weather bulletin on Friday, that it expected rain of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms to hit parts of the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Sanaa, Hodeida, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Tihama plain and the western coasts.

 According to the center, scattered rains, accompanied by thunderstorms might hit parts of the governorates of Jawf, Marib, Bayda, Lahj, Aden, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, Mahra, and Socotra as well as in the southern and eastern coasts.

Rain fell on parts of the governorates of Mahra, Hadramawt, Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj, Dhalea, Amran, Jawf, Socotra, and the Tihama plain.

 The Center warned citizens against being in the valleys and crossing the torrential passages, as well as from thunderstorms and the decrease in horizontal visibility due to the fog.

It also called on fishermen and seagoers to take the necessary precautions against sea turbulence and high waves around the Socotra archipelago, the southern and eastern coasts, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
