MAHRA, Oct. 23 (YPA) -Local telecommunication networks in several districts of Mahra province have been disrupted due to Cyclone “Tej”, which hit Yemen’s eastern provinces, a local official said on Monday.
The director of the Huswain District in Mahra, Yasser Al-Assad, said that the district was afflicted after it was hit by the Cyclone Tej.
He noted that the torrential rains caused massive damage to citizens’ homes. The city’s communications and electricity networks, as well as large areas of land were cut off due to torrential rains.
The city of Al-Ghaydah has been witnessing the entry of Cyclone Tej at its peak, where some residents have been evacuated from the areas of Shahuh, Mahifif and Al-Abri since dawn today.
