Update: Yemeni army attacks Saudi sites in Asir

ASIR, July 7 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Saturday launched an offensive against positions of Saudi-backed militiamen in Asir region, a military source told Yemen Press Agency.

The operation backed by the fire of artillery and missile forces targeted sites in west of Majaza mountain chain in Asir, resulting in several dead and wounded in ranks of the militia, according to the source.

Saudi army and its Sudanese and Yemeni mercenaries suffered heavy losses in life and gear in the past month as a result of failed attempts to restore the positions controlled by the Yemeni army in Majaza area.
