Agriculture Minister: Food security is major challenge at present

SANAA, July 7 (YPA) – Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Ghazi Mohsen, on Saturday said that food security is one of the most important challenges during the current period under the aggression and siege.

During a meeting of directors of agriculture offices in provinces and agricultural institutions, the minister called for placing an emergency and exceptional work plan for the development of the agricultural sector and food security programs in Yemen.

The minister urged to join efforts and work to overcome the difficulties facing the implementation of various agricultural programs and activities.

The meeting reviewed ideas, plans and objectives to reach a comprehensive plan focusing on achieving the food security requirements in the country.
