Algeria condemns Israeli attacks on Gaza Strip, demanding protection of Palestinians

ALGERIA, Oct. 07 (YPA) –  The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Saturday Israeli occupation policies and practices towards the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, calling for immediate international intervention to protect the Palestinian people.

The Ministry said in an official statement: “Algeria is following with great concern the development of the brutal Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of dozens of innocent sons and daughters of the Palestinian people.”

The statement added: “Algeria strongly condemns these policies and practices that violate the most basic humanitarian rules and references of international legitimacy.”

In its statement, Algeria demanded the immediate intervention of the international community through the relevant bodies to protect the Palestinian people from the arrogance and criminality of the Zionist occupation.

The statement continued: “Algeria also renews its conviction that the usurping Zionist occupation entity is the core of the Arab-Israeli conflict,” emphasizing that the resolution of the conflict’s tribulations and tragedies lies in recognizing the Palestinian people’s legitimate national rights and allowing them to establish an independent state on 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
