37th International Conference for Islamic Unity launched with participation of Yemen
TEHRAN, Oct. 01 (YPA) – The 37th International Conference for Islamic Unity was launched on Sunday in Iran’s capital, Tehran, with the participation of Yemen’s Grand Mufti, Scholar Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din.
In his speech during the opening event of the conference, the Mufti of the Republic of Yemen affirmed that the Yemeni people are facing a fierce war as a result of their honest position, adding, “We are paying the price for our position for the sake of the nation’s issues, the first of which is Palestine.”
He stressed that normalization with the Zionist enemy entity is a clear violation of the Book of Allah, noting that the fatwas of some who claimed the prohibition of celebrating the Prophet’s birthday anniversary caused the death and injury of dozens, as happened in the bombing that targeted those celebrating the Prophet’s birthday in Pakistan recently.
The scholar Sharaf al-Din also emphasized that it is the duty of scholars to incite jihad for the sake of Allah to confront the Israeli enemy and America, pointing out that America stands behind corruption and the spread of homosexuality and decadence on earth.
