Sanaa forces carry out military exercise
SANAA, Sept. 08 (YPA) – Forces of the Eighth Presidential Protection Brigade loyal to the Sanaa government carried out a military exercise, entitled “Mawlid al-Nour”, in conjunction with the Yemeni people’s celebration of the Yemeni people’s celebration of Prophet Muhammad birthday and the 21 September revolution.
The exercise was attended by Ahmed Hamed, the Director of the Presidency Office, Chief of the General Staff, Major General Mohammed Al-Ghumari, his deputy Major General Ali Al-Mushki and Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources Affairs Major General Ali Al-Kuhlani.
During the maneuver, a group of members of the Eighth Brigade Presidential Protection Battalion infiltrated towards the hypothetical enemy positions with heavy fires from military vehicles, cannons and machine guns. Then, the fighters stormed and blew up the enemy vehicles and stores in the hypothetical positions.
The fighters expressed their happiness at conducting this exercise, in which they send a message to the enemy that they in a full readiness to defend Yemen’s sovereignty and independence, and confront the enemy and thwart its plans.
