Girl died due to floods in Hajjah

HAJJAH, Aug. 30 (YPA) – A 20-year-old girl died on Wednesday due to floods in Al-Jamimah district of Hajjah province.

The secretary general of the local council in the district, Abdul Rahman al-Mohammadi, explained to the Yemeni news agency (Saba) that the torrent swept away the girl while crossing al-Manahi Valley in the eastern Qahtan area.

He explained that the girl’s body was found 500 meters from the area she tried to cross, calling on the people of the district not to be in the valleys and streams of torrents for their safety.
