STC accuses pro-coalition government of adopting policy of starvation

ADEN, Aug. 23 (YPA) – The UAE-affiliated Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions have made serious accusations against the pro-coalition “government in the city of Aden, south of Yemen.

In a meeting held on Wednesday, the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the STC stress on the importance of the support of protests demanding the expulsion of the “government” from Maashiq Palace in Aden.

It affirmed that the government of Maeen Abdul Malik practicing a systematic starvation policy against the people of Aden and the rest of the southern provinces.

The meeting accused also Maeen of carrying out the war through the failed management of the economic file and its negative impact on the service file.

The Presidency’s meeting warned the government against adopting a policy of starvation.

On Tuesday, the STC’s factions opened fire on the angry protests in Aden, after they demanded to improve the electricity service, leaving 3 dead and more than 10 injured.
