ADEN, Aug 21 (YPA) – Arabia issued a statement, in a response to the refusal of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), to pay staff salaries from oil and gas revenues at its last meeting.
Saudi political writer Ali al-Arishi, who is close to Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber, said in a post on the X platform: “This talk gives the full right to the Hadramout National Council to declare that the resources and wealth of Hadramout are a sovereign right of the Hadhrami people.”
The STC Presidency held a meeting in Aden, headed by STC President Aidarous al-Zoubaidi, in which it announced its refusal to allocate crude oil revenues in favor of paying the salaries of employees, considering that “the resources and wealth of the south are a sovereign right for the people in the south.”
