SANAA, Aug 14 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Monday rain sweeping the large parts of the provinces of Yemen.
In its weather bulletin, the center indicated that rains may fall on parts of Taiz, Bayda, Dhalea and Lahj, with extending to include various parts of Shabwa, Hadramout and Abyan, Mahweet, Dhamar, Sanaa, Rayma, Ibb, Hajjah, and Saada province.
It affirmed that maximum temperatures will range between 36-43 degrees Celsius the desert areas. While the coastal areas and plains and the Socotra archipelago, the temperature will be between 32-40 degrees.
The center pointed to the possibility of very strong winds blowing around the Socotra archipelago and the eastern coasts, with a speed ranging between 30-40 knots.
It warned citizens against being in the valleys and water passages as a result of rainfall.
