SANAA, July. 31 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected rain of varying intensity on parts of various areas of Yemeni provinces.
In its weather forecast, the rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, will prevail over the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Mahweet, Sanaa, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Dhalea, Bayda, Shabwa, and deserts of Hadramout and Mahra.
The center indicated that the weather may be hot to very hot in the desert areas and internal plateaus, with the maximum temperatures reaching between 36-44 degrees Celsius, and 32-41 C on the coastal regions and plains and the Socotra archipelago.
The forecast warned citizens against being in the valleys and water ways and the decrease in the horizontal visibility due to fog or low clouds.
It urged fishermen and sea-goers to take the necessary precautions against sea turbulence and high waves around the Socotra archipelago, the southern and eastern coasts, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
