GAZA, July. 24 (YPA) – Palestine’s Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziyad al-Nakhala, announced on Sunday the movement’s rejection to participant in the meeting of the general secretaries in Cairo, before the release of detainees from the Palestinian Authority (PA)’s prisons.
“Palestine Today” news agency reported that al-Nakhala had confirmed on July 11 that the arrests carried out by the PA against cadres and members of the Islamic Jihad Movement in the West Bank would expose the upcoming meeting of the general secretaries to failure.
Al-Nakhala’s statements came in conjunction with the continuation of the Palestinian Authority’s crime against the leaders and cadres of the Movement in the West Bank.
On July 3, 2023, the Palestinian Authority had arrested Eid Mohammad Hamamrah,28, Mohammed Salim Alawneh, 14, Mohammed Fayez Malaisheh, 42, and Moamen Adnan Fashafsha,20, in addition to Imad Mohammed Khaliliya,25, while they were on their way to the Jenin camp to participate in confronting the Zionist aggression.
According to the “Committee of Families of Political Detainees in the West Bank” the PA security services carried out 411 violations in the West Bank, during the month of June.
