Oman’s Grand Mufti calls on Islam’s nation to boycott Sweden

MUSCAT, July. 23 (YPA) – The Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili, issued on Sunday a strongly worded statement calling for a firm boycott of Sweden in response to its provocation of the feelings of Muslims and their sanctities.

“Sweden’s persistence in its arrogance and its failure to back down from its challenge to Islam and Muslims, by violating the sanctities of their holiest sanctities, will be put in a position that requires Muslims to sever all relations with it, Al-Khalili said on Twitter.

He added, “We hope that all Islamic countries and their peoples will take into account this matter and not be lenient with it.”
