Several militia members of STC killed, injured in Al-Qaeda attacks in Abyan

ABYAN, July 22 (YPA) – A number of militia members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) were killed and wounded on Saturday in attacks by gunmen in Abyan province.

According to media sources, gunmen affiliated with al-Qaeda, backed by the Islah Party, carried out attacks on positions of the STC forces in Wadi al-Khayyala in al-Mahfad district and Wadi Omran in Mudiyah district, east of Abyan.

The sources affirmed that the attacks left dead and wounded from the STC forces in addition to  material losses.
