Ministry of Health: Targeting hospital in Taiz by coalition drones is a war crime

TAIZ, July 16 (YPA) – The Ministry of Public Health and Population strongly condemned Sunday the “war crime” of targeting Al-Barah Hospital in Maqbana district, Taiz governorate by  Saudi-led coalition spy drones.

In a statement, the ministry  confirmed that the missiles caused damage to some departments of the hospital and ambulances, and caused great panic among doctors and patients.

The statement affirmed that targeting hospitals and health facilities is a war crime committed by the  coalition while the United Nations and the international community continues to remain silent.

In its statement, the ministry indicated that more than 500 hospitals and health facilities were completely or partially destroyed during the coalition war against Yemen.

It urgently called for lifting the siege on Sanaa International Airport for the travel of patients and the arrival of equipment and medical assistance to enable the health sector to withstand and alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
