Wagner Group Head announces cessation of movement his fighters towards Moscow

WORLD, June 25 (YPA) – Evgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner Group private military company, announced the cessation of movement of his forces towards Moscow, stressing that they have turned around and left in the opposite direction.

An audio message posted by Prigozhin on his Telegram press service account read: “They wanted to dissolve the private military company Wagner. We advanced in 24 hours, and only less than 200 kilometers left to reach Moscow. During this time, not a single drop of the blood of our fighters has been bled.”

Prigozhin added: “Now is the time when blood can be spilled. Therefore, we are aware of the full responsibility for the fact that Russian blood will be spilled on one side, our battalions turn around and we leave in the opposite direction to the field camps according to plan.”

Earlier, the press service of the President of Belarus announced that the founder of the Wagner Group had accepted Alexander Lukashenko’s proposal to stop the movements of the group in Russia and take further steps to calm tensions.

The service revealed that negotiations with Prigozhin continued throughout the day. As a result, agreements were reached on the inadmissibility of committing a bloody massacre on the territory of Russia.
