Radfan tribes engage in violent clashes with UAE-backed factions in Aden

ADEN, June 22 (YPA) – Armed clashes erupted on Thursday between factions of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) and tribal militants east of the city of Aden, which is controlled by the Saudi-led coalition.

Local sources in the city reported that clashes broke out between the so-called “Security Belt” factions from Yafea area and tribal gunmen from Radfan area, east of Aden, without mentioning the reason.

The sources stated that the Radfan tribes had sent armed reinforcements towards Aden, without giving any further details.
