ALGERIA, June 21 (YPA) – The Algerian authorities asked the Emirati ambassador to leave the national territory, after being charged with espionage, the Algerian Al-Nahar news channel said on Twitter.
The channel indicated that “a 48-hour deadline was given to the Emirati ambassador, Yousef Saif Khamis Sebaa Al Ali, to leave Algeria.”
“The decision to expel the Emirati ambassador came after the arrest of 4 Emirati spies who were communicating for the benefit of the Mossad of the occupying state of Israel,” it added.
The channel explaining that “the arrested spies tried to pass on secrets and information about the Algerian state.”
At the end of its tweet, Al-Nahar channel stated, ” Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its regret for these mistaken actions and despicable plans targeting Algeria.”
