Sudan’s army evacuates vicinity of RSF’s centers amid reports of new truce

KHARTOUM, June 17 (YPA) – Sudan’s army called on citizens to leave their homes near the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)’s positions, amid reports on possibility of a new truce, Sudanese media reported on Saturday.

According to media reports, reconnaissance warplanes were flying over Khartoum, and anti-aircraft were heard south of Omdurman, central and western Khartoum as well as sporadic shooting .

Local Sudanese reports said that 5 civilians were killed in Khartoum as a result of mutual artillery shelling on a number of areas.

In a statemen, the RSF accused the Sudanese army of killing 2 of its employees in a brutal and inhumane manner, However, the army has not commented yet.

In addition, telecommunications services were completely cut off in the city of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur, and there is little information about the situation there after the killing of the state governor.

According to unofficial information, a new truce between the army and the RSF for 72 hours is being put forward.
