EU: “Israel” ignores settler crimes in West Bank, occupied Quds

BRUSSELS, June 13 (YPA) – The Special Representative of the European Union (EU) for Human Rights, Eamonn Gilmour, said on Monday that the Zionist entity authorities ignore the settler crimes against the Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Quds (Jerusalem) and do not do enough to confront these crimes.

Gilmore pointed out in a press statement today, Monday, that there is a large gap between the number of “violent incidents in which settlers were involved and the number of investigations that were opened in this context.”

He stressed that “Israel” is responsible for investigating such cases and combating this phenomenon.

“There is a clear trend that began in 2022 and continued in the first half of 2023 of lethal harm to civilians,” he added.

Regarding the law that the occupation seeks to pass to impose taxes on the donations that civil organizations receive from foreign governments, Gilmore said: “I do not know any democratic country in the world that has such a law.”
