Aden’s pro-coalition governor orders not to deposit state funds with Central Bank
ADEN, June 12 (YPA) – The governor of Aden province in the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition, Ahmed Lamlas, has directed the suspension of the central financial procurement process for the government account at the Central Bank in Aden, informed sources reported on Monday.
The sources pointed out that the directives included the revenues of customs, the port and other sectors, against the background of the corruption of the pro- government, headed by Moeen Abdulmalik.
According to reports, the governor’s directions were issued during his meeting on Monday with the directors of customs and taxes authorities and a number of other revenue institutions.
On Sunday, the head of the pro-coalition government, Moeen Abdulmalik, acknowledged the worsening economic situation in the areas controlled by the coalition, indicating that government institutions are heading towards losing control over the coming days.
