SANAA, May 08 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology called on citizens to take protections to avoid the heat weather in several provinces of Yemen.
The center indicated, in its weather bulletin on Monday, the wave may hit the deserts and internal areas of the provinces of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Marib, Jawf, the coastal provinces , as well as the Socotra archipelago, ranging between 35 to 40 degrees Celsius.
It affirmed that the mountainous heights of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj and Dhalea” will witness partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rains of varying intensity.
The center warned citizens in deserts and coastal areas, and the Socotra archipelago of heat wave, and advised not to be exposed to direct sunshine.
