Putin discusses preparations for Russian Victory Day celebrations

WORLD, May 06 (YPA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday discussed preparations for the May 9 Victory Day parade in a meeting with his Security Council, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

He added : “A number of issues related to the preparation for the Victory Day celebrations were discussed.”

The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, the Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, the Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, the Minister of the Interior Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov and the Russian President’s Commissioner for Environmental Protection Sergei Ivanov.
