SANAA, March 24 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicted that thundershowers of varying intensity will hit most of the Yemeni governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center said in its weather bulletin on Friday, it expects rains of varying intensity, which may be accompanied by thunders sometimes to hit parts of the governorates of Hadramout, Mahra, Shabwa, Bayda, Abyan, Aden, Lahj, Dhalea and Taiz.
Heavy rains are expected with thunderstorms and strong winds to hit northeast of the Gulf of Aden, and scattered rain may fall on parts of the southern coasts and the Socotra archipelago, especially the eastern coasts, the center said.
The center indicated light to moderate rains may hit parts of the governorates of Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, Sanaa, Mahwit, Amran, Jawf and southern Marib.
The center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected not to be in torrential streams and valleys in order to preserve their safety and property.
