SANAA, March 06 (YPA) – The General Department of animal health and veterinary quarantine of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation destroyed on Monday seven tons of expired feed additives that are unfit for animal consumption in the capital Sanaa.
The director of animal health and veterinary quarantine, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qadari, explained to the Yemeni news agency (Saba) that the quantities that were destroyed were materials and feed additives intended for feeding livestock that were seized in the warehouses of one of the traders .
He pointed out that the destruction operation, which was carried out in the presence of the prosecution of violations and the General Department of Environmental Health at the Ministry of Health, comes within the framework of the professional control and supervision program carried out by the General Department of Health and veterinary quarantine on livestock and poultry facilities .
He also pointed out that the destruction of these feed additives was done by the correct scientific methods so as not to affect the environment.
