Military commander in Taiz axis breaks into headquarters of Tariq Affash’s political office

TAIZ, March 05 (YPA) – Gunmen affiliated with Taiz Axis forces attacked the headquarters of Tariq Affash’s so-called political office in Taiz two days after the latter’s visit to the city.

Media sources explained that gunmen belonging to the Taiz military axis led by Colonel Abdul Hakim Al-Shujaa, commander of the sixth sector of the 22nd Mika Brigade, stormed the political office of Tariq Saleh in the city of Taiz, assaulted the workers, tampered with its contents, and tore up the pictures of Afash before closing it completely.

The General People’s Congress Party in Taiz Governorate issued a statement condemning the attack on the political office.

“It is a reckless and irresponsible act that created great resentment among the people of the province,” the statement read.

It called on the security authorities to quickly arrest the elements who stormed the headquarters of the political office and bring them to justice.

The statement also held the security authorities responsible for their negligence.
