MUSCAT, Feb. 26 (YPA) – Head of Sanaa negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, discussed on Sunday with deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Bogdanov, the military, political and humanitarian situation in Yemen.
“A meeting was held on Saturday at the Russian Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman between Bogdanov, who is on a working visit to Oman, and Abdul-Salam,” According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the Russian side stressed the need to intensify efforts for all Yemeni political forces in order to ensure a sustainable and long-term cease-fire, which will leade to creating a favorable environment for establishing a constructive and the UN-brokered comprehensive negotiation process for a complete settlement of the crisis in Yemen and strengthening peace and security in the region as a whole.
