Earthquake with magnitude of 5.2 hits Iran

SANAA, Feb. 21 (YPA) – An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter Scale struck on Tuesday, the city of Larestan in Fars province in southwestern Iran.

 According to the agency “IRNA”, the Director General of the Emergency Affairs Department, Khalil Abdullahi, said that the earthquake occurred at 9:35 this morning, at a depth of 10 km from the surface of the earth.

He pointed out that the earthquake occurred near the village of derz in the city, and Assessment Teams were sent to this area, adding that there have been no reports of possible damage caused by the earthquake.
