ADEN, Feb. 17 (YPA) – A brother of high-ranking military commander loyal to Tariq Saleh and son of a prominent sheikh in the province of Marib, affiliated with Saudi Arabia, was killed at dawn Friday by gunmen affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), in the city of Aden.
Sources said that a security point belonging to the security belt forces in the Khormaksar district, east of the city, stopped Sheikh Badr Abdul Latif Al-Qibli Nimran, brother of the commander of the “Sheba axis” in the Al-Amailqa Forces loyal to the UAE, Brigadier General Abdul Hadi Al-Qibli, because he carried a firearm.
The sources pointed out that the members of the point refused a permit he had to carry a personal weapon, and insisted on receiving the weapon, and after a tug of war, it was agreed to deliver it to the Khormaksar Security Department.
According to the sources, three soldiers boarded Al-Qibli’s car and they were moving towards the Security Department, Al-Qibli tried to change his direction towards the Rotana Hotel where his relatives are located, which led to an altercation that ended with him being killed.
In the context, the Murad tribe in Marib vowed retaliation of the killers of the son of the pro-Saudi tribal sheikh.
