SANAA, Feb. 14 (YPA) – The Board of Directors of the General Corporation for Spinning and Weaving Industry, in its meeting Tuesday, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Ahmed Muhammad Al-Shawtari, discussed the status of the Corporation and ways to solve the problems it faces.
A report on the problems facing the corporation and the spinning and weaving factory was reviewed during the meeting.
At the meeting, Al-Shawtari stressed the importance of extracting the corporation from the conditions it is going through and restoring its pioneering and developmental role in serving the Yemeni economy.
He pointed to the ministry’s keenness to support and encourage industrial activity and set policies and procedures to advance and develop the local industry.
Al-Shawtari urged to take advantage of the Yemeni cotton growing season and the high-quality raw materials it provides, stressing the ministry’s readiness to provide all aspects of support to the Corporation in a way that would overcome the difficulties and develop a well-thought-out plan of action to restore its activity.
