2 STC militia members injured in Abyan

ABYAN, Feb. 02 (YPA) – Two militia members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) were injured as a result of an ambush by gunmen in the southern province of Abyan.

Sources said an armed group fired on a military pickup carrying members of the so-called the emergency forces affiliated with the STC in the village of Jaheen, near the Arqoub area in Lawdar district, northeast of Abyan, leaving tow injured.

Since last August, the Islah Party has continued to drain the STC forces in Abyan through ambushes and surprise attacks that led to the death and injury of dozens of its members in response to its exclusion from Shabwa and Abyan governorates.
