Pro-coalition gunmen attack woman in Taiz

TAIZ, Jan. 19 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition’s gunmen brutally assaulted on Thursday a woman in the city of Taiz, southern Yemen.

According to human rights sources in the city, militants of the Islah party beat the woman, “whose name was not mentioned,” in the middle of the street in Sina area of al-Nasiriyah neighborhood, causing serious injuries, without mentioning the reason.

The sources stated that the woman was taken to the hospital covered in blood, for treatment.

On the other hand, other gunmen loyal to the coalition kidnapped the wife of an employee of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Taiz University, Amin Sultan Hizam, after her husband was kidnapped last Tuesday in the center of Taiz.

The coalition militants-held areas of Taiz are witnessing security chaos due to the proliferation of armed groups affiliated with the Islah Party and terrorist elements deployed in various areas.
