Islah forces cleanse Seiyun city of STC’s manifestations

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Forces of the First Military Region, a unit affiliated with the Islah party, have on Monday cleansed the city of Seiyun, the capital of Wadi Hadramout districts, from all manifestations of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia.

Local sources in the city said: “The leadership of the first military region issued directives to remove all slogans and flags raised by pro-STC loyalists in the streets of the city,” in a provocative move.

This coincided with the ninth anniversary of the so-called “first Hadrami uprising.”

The campaign comes in conjunction with the so-called “National Day of Hadramout” on December 20, which was agreed upon by all Hadhrami political components in December 2013.
