US RQ-4B Global Hawk reconnaissance aircraft spotted near Crimea

WORLD, Dec. 13 (YPA) – Flightradar24 has spotted a US RQ-4B Global Hawk reconnaissance aircraft, marked FORTE10, flying over the neutral waters of the Black Sea near Crimea.

According to Flightradar24, an RQ-4B Global Hawk drone with the callsign FORTE10 took off from the NATO Naval Air Base Sigonella on the Italian island of Sicily.

It is known that around 11:00 Moscow time airplane began circling near the coast of the Crimean Peninsula. It is reported that the UAV was fixed about 100 kilometers in a straight line from the peninsula.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at the end of October, “the flights by reconnaissance and tactical aircraft of the NATO Air Force in the areas bordering with the Russian Federation have increased by 30%.”

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that a Russian MiG-31 fighter jet intercepted a Norwegian P-3C Orion reconnaissance plane over the Barents Sea.
