Islah thwarts first offensive against its militants in Seiyun

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 04 (YPA) – Forces of “First Military Region” affiliated with Islah party foiled the first offensive operation against its militants in the city of Seiyun, the capital of Hadramout, eastern Yemen.

According to sources, Islah militants arrested on Friday, a cell loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)”, in possession of a number of improvised explosive devices at the entrances to Seiyun, during the search process.

Sources confirmed that STC loyalists tried to bring explosive devices into Seiyun during the event they tried to hold on Friday on the so-called “UAE National Day” in the city.

On Saturday, the so-called  “Southern Resistance” in Hadramout called for declaring  armed struggle against the forces of the “First Military Region” in Wadi Hadramout, because of their “barbaric repressive practices” against the people of the valley districts.
