Cabinet discusses Minister of Defense report

SANAA, Nov. 20 (YPA) – The Council of Ministers, in its regular meeting on Sunday, headed by Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, discussed a report submitted by Minister of Defense, Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atefi.

In the meeting, the cabinet listened to the report talking on the situation on the fronts, in light of the continued violations of the Stockholm Agreement by the Saudi-led coalition and its tools, especially on the western coast.

During the meeting, Minister of Defense affirmed Sanaa’s commitment to the last truce that was agreed upon, and its keenness to reduce the level of tension and non-escalation, despite the violations and the bringing of more weapons by the aggressors and occupiers to the occupied provinces, regions and islands.

Al-Atefi confirmed that resorting the coalition to the truce was to rearrange their conditions to prepare to continue their blatant and ruthless aggression against Yemen.

He stressed that the main goal that the coalition and its direct international supporters seek was to prolong the war on the Yemeni people to ensure their continued looting the national wealth, and the use of Yemeni ports and islands under occupation, to serve their economic interests and political goals.

The minister affirmed that the Yemeni armed forces, with their various formations, are fully prepared to continue the battle of heroism and dignity against the aggressors.

The report stated that the armed forces have the full capacity to deal with and deter any act of aggression in the stronghold of its home, explaining that Sanaa proposes a truce that meets the interests of the Yemeni people, while the aggressors don’t want to.
