11 pro-coalition commanders sentenced to death for killing, torturing captives

SANAA, Nov. 20 (YPA) – The Fifth Military District Court of Sanaa on Sunday convicted 11 military commanders loyal to Saudi-led coalition of murder and torture of 11 prisoners of army and popular committees on the western coast in the Criminal Case No. 7 of 1443 AH.

The operative ruling ruled that the 11 defendants be convicted of the facts attributed to them in the indictment and punished all of them with the death penalty, as well as with the two complementary punishments, represented in the expulsion from the armed forces and the confiscation of all their movable and immovable property in any hands within or outside the country and under any name for the favor of the armed forces.

The court also ruled that all convicts pay a total amount of 330 million riyals to the victims’ families, divided equally, as well as the litigation costs.

The 11 convicted commanders are:

1- Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh Al-Ahmar

2- Brigadier General Murad Al Sherae’i

3- Abdullah Hassan Abdullah Al-Zorqi

4- Talal Yusuf Ali

5- Muhammad Abdullah Qahtan

6- Mujahid Ezzi Hadhrami

7- Bassam Al-Ajam

8- Muhammad Abdullah Saleh Al-Baslani

9- Muhammad Al-Harbi

10- Sami Haji

11- Abdullah Al-Ajam

 

YPA
