North Korea: Missile launches were simulated attack on enemy’s airbases

WORLD, Nov. 07 (YPA) – North Korea said Monday that its recent missile launches were simulated strikes on South Korea and the United States, according to the North’s KCNA news agency.

North Korean Army Chief of Staff said that these missile tests were in response to the “Vigilant Storm” “exercises carried out by the South Korean and US air forces in the region.

“The “Vigilant Storm” exercises were an “open provocation aimed at intentionally escalating the tension” and “a dangerous war drill of very high aggressive nature.”

According to the agency, the North Korean military carried out a military operation from November 2 to 5 in response to the US-South Korean exercises.
