HADRAMOUT, Nov. 06 (YPA) – Dozens of citizens carried out on Sunday an angry protest rally against corruption sweeping the city of Mukalla, the provincial capital of Hadramout.
In the rally, the participants called for the departure of the newly appointed director of the oil company in the Hadramout coastal districts, Abdul Rahman Aida Salmeen Belfas.
The protesters raised banners against the decision of the UAE-backed governor of the province, amid accusations of the new director of the company of financial and administrative corruption.
They pointed out that the decision came to re-enable the “Afash leaders” of administrative leadership positions in Mukalla, as part of a plan to seize Wadi Hadramout’s districts.
