STC militia close cultural center in Ataq city

SHABWA, Nov. 06 (YPA) – Militia of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) closed on Sunday the cultural center in the city of Ataq, the provincial capital of Shabwa, in eastern Yemen.

Local sources in the city indicated that the militias of “Shabwa Defense” prevented the so-called “Yemen Renaissance Movement” affiliated with Islah Party from establishing an event on the occasion of the revolution of October 14 and November 30, 1967 in the center.

The sources indicated that elements led by Anis Al-Subaihi closed the center by force of arms and expelled the guard, which caused a state of discontent among the participants in the event.

The participants denounced the barbaric and regional methods used by the militia coming from Dhalea and Yafa’ area in Lahj.
