STC accuses Shabwa governor of establishing new prisons

SHABWA, Nov. 01 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias have accused the Shabwa governor, Awadh al-Awlaki, loyal to the UAE, of creating tribal influencers-affiliated new detention centers in the city of Ataq.

A journalist and leader in the STC, Adib Al-Abed, confirmed that the so-called Abd Rabbo Mohsen Shatran, has been imprisoning in a secret prison in the city since mid-October, based on the instructions by one of the sheikhs.

He indicated that Shatran was imprisoned by Shabwa Security Director, Fouad Al-Nassi, to force him to sign a fake judgment.

Al-Abed affirmed that Shatran is arrested alongside dozens in one of the governor’s prisons in Ataq, pointing out that the sheikhs now have private detention centers and prisons.
